[Spanish] Evaluación Formativa Proyecto Prácticas de Buen Gobierno en República Dominicana (Proyecto Vigilantes)

Fundación Intermón Oxfam, a non-governmental organization focusing on poverty and human rights, received a GPSA grant to strengthen the transparency and accountability of government services in the Dominican Republic. The grant intended to help CSOs and citizens participate in the national budget process, and in the budgets and services of water, sanitation, education, and agriculture. Aligning Actors for Learning in the Dominican Republic: The Evolution of Social Accountability

The practice of social accountability has evolved since the 1990s. This note illustrates this evolution looking at work targeted to the Dominican Republic’s education sector. It argues that what may have started as a tool-based transparency and social accountability interventions isolated from policymaking has evolved towards collaborative, problem-solving social accountability approaches. You may contribute to the Knowledge Platform in many different ways: you can send and disseminate your social accountability materials (toolkits, reports, videos, etc.) in the knowledge repository; you can contact, interact and collaborate with other peers and join a global community of social accountability practitioners; you can participate in the different learning and knowledge exchange activities of the GPSA KP such as online courses, thematic forums, webinars and blogs; and you can develop a partnership with the GPSA KP to implement collaborative knowledge activities.
