Fostering Strategic Social Accountability


Welcome to the first GPSA Knowledge Platform E-learning Course!

About the course

This E-course is primarily targeted to CSOs that are experimenting with Social Accountability tools and mechanisms and that are interested in improving their ability to make their efforts more strategic and thus potentially more effective.

The E- course will address the meaning of “Strategic social Accountability” for CSOs’ analytical and operative work. It will focus on key axes that are considered critical to understand strategic social accountability:

  • Political Economy Analysis for Strategic Social Accountability
  • Social accountability, citizen engagement and feedback mechanisms
  • Working with partners and allies – Dynamics and challenges

Learning goal

Broaden and master the meaning of “Strategic Social Accountability”, and how it embeds into the dynamic of CSOs’ analytical and operational work.

Course Format:

The E-course will be structured around three modules. Each module will last 2 weeks and will host at least one social accountability expert or academic. At the end of the E-course, a certificate will be delivered to participants that fulfilled all the requirements.

You may contribute to the Knowledge Platform in many different ways: you can send and disseminate your social accountability materials (toolkits, reports, videos, etc.) in the knowledge repository; you can contact, interact and collaborate with other peers and join a global community of social accountability practitioners; you can participate in the different learning and knowledge exchange activities of the GPSA KP such as online courses, thematic forums, webinars and blogs; and you can develop a partnership with the GPSA KP to implement collaborative knowledge activities.
