People Centred Advocacy

This book provides an overview of successful examples and innovations in the engagement of citizens by Supreme Audit Institutions. It summarizes the deliberations on Effective practices of cooperation between SAIs and citizens to enhance public accountability of the 21st United Nations/International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) Symposium of 2011. Based on an analysis of the responses of INTOSAI members to the questionnaire which formed the technical basis for the 21st Symposium, the book describes innovative practices of communication between SAIs and citizens, as well as cases of c itizen participation in government auditing.
